Wordpress Plugins SVN...

Recently, I've been working on the Mailgun Wordpress plugin and trying to bring it up to date and fix bugs here and there. I was attempting to cut a release yesterday and SVN was refusing to let me commit.

λ svn ci --username=mailgun --no-auth-cache -m 'Testing' branches/test/
Authentication realm: <https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org:443> Use your WordPress.
org login
Password for 'mailgun': ***********

svn: E175013: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: E175013: Access to '/!svn/me' forbidden

Some Googling showed other people were occasionally having this problem as well, so I wanted to share the solution for future travelers.

So, note that SVN says:

Authentication realm: https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org:443 Use your WordPress.org login

While this isn't odd, it may not actually match your login for the plugins site.

Your plugins site profile may say this:

Plugins site profile

But, what SVN means by "WordPress.org login" is this:

Support forum profile

Click the "support forum profile" link on the plugins site profile page and then scroll down. Your real SVN username is under the Account section.

Good luck.
